Konstantinos Sergakis

Konstantinos Sergakis, Assistant Professor of Stock Exchange Law at the University of Bedfordshire in Great Britain, was honoured with the Prix Solennel André Isoré award by the Chancellerie des Universités de Paris. The awards ceremony was held at Sorbonne on December 5th, 2011, under the presidency of French Prime Minister François Fillon. The Chancellerie des Universités de Paris bestowed the above prize to Konstantinos Sergakis for his doctoral dissertation titled The Transparency of Listed Companies in EU Law, which was written with a grant by the Onassis Foundation and presented in November 2010 at the University of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne).

Every year, the Chancellerie des Universités de Paris bestows the Prix Solennels in order to recognize the academic and scientific quality of the best doctoral dissertations in Law, Political Science, Economics, Medicine, Humanities and Pharmacy. The Prix Solennels André Isoré award is the most prestigious award bestowed in the field of Private Law and is broadly considered to be one of the most important awards in France.

Konstantinos Sergakis’ dissertation was recently selected for publication by the University of Sorbonne (Bibliothèque de l’Institut de Recherche Juridique de la Sorbonne – IRJS Éditions) after a special grant by the Onassis Foundation.
