Ms Christofides represented Cyprus at the 54th Venice Biennale in 2011 with her work Temporal Taxonomy, in collaboration with Elizabeth Hoak-Doering and under the auspices of Yiannis Toumazis. Marianna Christofides presented a series of photographs and maps, accompanied by a video featuring Doering’s work which consists of "kinetic sculptures", massive inverted objects hovering above white surfaces and drawing random figures.
In September 2010, Marianna Christofides completed her post-graduate degree in Digital Art Forms at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne where she studied on scholarship by the Onassis Foundation. Her documentary entitled Pathways in the dust. A topography out of fragments won first prize at the 5th Short Film and Short Documentary Festival in Cyprus.
